Lamu County has put measures in place to raise 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Score to 4.0 from 3.5 in 2021, a senior education official has said.
Speaking to Education News in Lamu town, County director of education, Mr. Joshua Kaaga urged teachers in the county to expose their Form Four candidates more to practical subjects while doing revision work.
“Teachers in the region should ensure that Syllabus has been covered properly in all subjects and early enough so as to pave way for revision,” he advised.
Kaaga also asked all education stakeholders in the county including teachers and students to work as a team in a bid to improve 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results.
He also asked parents in the region to assist teachers in instilling discipline into their school children, but not to leave the whole task to teachers alone.
The County director of education urged students to study hard so as to excel in their final national examinations, arguing that there is no other way of in passing examination apart from working extra hard.
