Laikipia University has announced the postponement of its much-anticipated Cultural Week of Innovation, which was scheduled to begin yesterday

In a notice issued by the Laikipia University Students Association (LUSA), the event has now been moved to next week, running from Wednesday, November 26th to Friday, November 28th, 2025.

According to the communication signed by Titus Omari, the Secretary General of LUSA, the decision to push the event forward was arrived at due to “unavoidable circumstances.”

While the notice did not disclose details behind the postponement, it assured students that all preparations made earlier remain intact and only the dates have changed.

The cultural week of innovation is one of the biggest annual activities on the university calendar, bringing together students from different faculties to showcase creativity, talent, and cultural diversity.

The event typically features exhibitions, performances, panel discussions, and innovation displays aimed at promoting student skills and fostering unity within the institution.

The students who had already prepared for performances and presentations received the news with mixed reactions—some expressing disappointment over the sudden shift, while others welcomed the extension as a chance to refine their work.

The organizers, however, maintained that the postponement was necessary to ensure a smooth and successful event.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused,” the notice read, emphasizing that the leadership is committed to delivering a memorable and impactful Cultural Week.

The updated schedule comes as the university gears up for end-of-semester activities, and LUSA leadership has encouraged students to stay engaged and maintain their enthusiasm for the upcoming celebrations.

With the new dates set, the university community now looks forward to a vibrant and well-organized cultural week expected to showcase not only cultural richness but also student innovation and creativity.
