Kyuso Sub-county director glad the 3 days of exams ended well

Kyuso Sub-County Director of Education, Stephen Mulandi.

Kyuso Sub-county Director of Education (SCDE) Stephen Mulandi has expressed joy that the three-day examination for KPSEA and KCPE ended well in the sub-county, Kitui County.

The sub-county had a total of 82 centres for KCPE and 101 for KPSEA. There were a total of 3,154 KCPE candidates, 1572 boys and 1582 girls. 2346 sat the KPSEA, among them 1066 boys and 1280 girls.

Though the sub-county did not meet the threshold for additional containers, they worked with the usual two they have in Ngomeni and Kyuso picking points.

Some of the challenges like crossing rivers and vehicles getting stuck in mud had to be addressed immediately.

“We are fully prepared for KCSE on Monday. Well, with the current arrangements by KNEC, picking examination papers in the morning and evening might be a challenge but still we will try our best to see that everything runs well,” Mulandi said.

The SCDE noted that candidates sitting KCSE are 1199 (553 boys and 646 girls). There are 21 public school centres and one private one.

He expressed confidence that together with other examination officials, they will go through KCSE exercise without major challenges, wishing the candidates good health and the best.
