The Kenya Union of Special Needs Education (KUSNET) has re-elected its 13 national officials unopposed for another term following elections held in Narok County.
The elections, which drew delegates from various counties across the country, were conducted smoothly and unanimously, with members endorsing the current leadership in recognition of what they described as strong and effective representation.
The outcome reflected widespread satisfaction with the officials’ performance during their previous term.
Rebecca Kosgei, the returning officer from Narok County who presided over the exercise, said the leaders were re-elected unopposed due to their outstanding work in championing the rights and welfare of special needs educators.
She noted that members expressed confidence in the leadership’s ability to continue advocating for their interests at both national and institutional levels.

The leadership further vowed to intensify efforts to ensure that special needs educators are fully supported, noting that their role is critical in promoting inclusive education across the country.
Members present at the Narok meeting expressed optimism that the continuity in leadership would help sustain ongoing initiatives and strengthen the union’s voice in national education discourse.
