Kuresoi south Member of Parliament, MP Joseph Tonui has implored upon parents to ensure all children report to schools for the grade 10 admissions.
This comes after the schools within the area witnessed low turnout in during the past two senior school admission days.
However, many parents have complained of financial hardships, which they say is likely to force a section of them not take their children to school.
Speaking at Kaptembwo primary school, MP Tonui while presenting registration certificate for the school, reiterated that all learners must transit to senior schools and no one is needed to be home while other are in school.

“Education is an equaliser and no child needs to be home whatsoever. No child need to be found in tea estates, as maids or herding animals or farm labourers
The lawmaker also asked teachers not to send home children due to school fees saying the Principals need to be patient
Grade 10 learners started reporting to their various senior schools countrywide starting Jan 12 2026, and are expected to stream for the better part of this week and next week.
