KUPPET official leaves hospital after a successful surgery

Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) National Secretary for Gender Catherine Wambilianga will be discharged today (March 3, 2021) from Life Care Hospital in Bungoma town after undergoing a successful surgery.

Wambilianga, who is also a Woman Representative of Bungoma County at the National Assembly, and six others were involved in a freak accident during the last day of campaigns for the Kabuchai parliamentary by-elections, when a  speeding vehicle that was part of their entourage lost control and rammed into them as they were receiving Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya party leader).

Speaking to journalist while in hospital, Wambilianga said that she is in stable condition and she is expected to discharge by today (Wednesday March 3, 2021).

Mrs. Wambilianga sustained a broken limb and two fractures on her leg, and she assured her supporters that she is doing well adding that she will be visiting the other women who were injured during the incident once she is out of hospital.
