KUPPET boss leads mourners in celebrating life of dead high school teacher

The late Enock Mogoa

Joseph Abincha, the Executive Secretary of the Kisii Branch of the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET), today consoled villagers who were mourning the loss of a secondary school teacher from Igorera village in Kenyenya Sub-county.

Enock Mogoa died suddenly after a short illness, causing grief among the villagers.

Until his passing, the late Mokua taught Mathematics and Chemistry at Nyangweta SDA High School in Etago Sub-county, where he was transferred after serving at Igorera High School.

Abincha described the late Mogoa as a mentor, a role model, and a passionate educator who profoundly impacted and shaped the lives of countless students through his knowledge, kindness, and unwavering commitment to educational excellence.

His Bombaba Ward family, led by area MCA Beatrice Makwabe, mourned his untimely death, describing him as a pillar of development in the community.

They decried that his life was cut short at a prime age and prayed for his positive influence to remain a lasting fragrance with his family.

“Resilience is essential in our lives. We cannot mourn our misfortunes forever because life has to continue; that is why we need informed community services,” he said.

He thanked Nyumba Kumi groups, clan elders, and the Church for their voluntary communal services.

He appealed to the government for financial assistance to motivate them to continue their commendable work.

He further asked the government to facilitate the education of local communities to help them cope with any predicament that may befall them.

He emphasized the need for guidance and counselling when families face sudden tragedies such as death, floods, drought, or fire, as these incidents leave lasting traumatic effects on victims.
