Teachers Representatives from both KUPPET and KNUT Bungoma County Teachers Unions are demanding an immediate transfer of the area’s county director of education over what they have termed as frequent threats and mistreatment of Head Teachers and Principals.
WATCH:
Addressing the press in a joint Interview with KNUT Unionists outside the Director of Education’s office, Bungoma County; KUPPET Branch Executive Secretary General, Augustine Kundu Luketelo allegedly said that the current director Pius Ng’oma has been visiting schools across the county soliciting funds hence delaying their clearance of school’s capitation intended for infrastructural development .
According to Luketelo, the director has frustrated heads of institutions during the school games, drama and music competitions by not disbursing funds on time hence delaying their timely participation in the Co-Curicular Activities.
