KUCCPS urged to extend registration period of new trainees

EDUCATION, KATTI

Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) Principals have urged Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS ) to extend the registration period of new trainees so as to enable them to enroll in the Technical Training Institutions in the country in large numbers to pursue Technical Education Training.

Speaking during their Capacity Building Workshop held at Pride Inn Paradise Beach resort in Mombasa county recently, the Institutional Heads led by their KATTI, national chairman, Mr. David M.Mwangi, who is also the Chief Principal, Nyeri national polytechnic, said that the registration period is actually too short for them to register for the courses of their interest.

They further lamented that the majority ( most ) of the new trainees come from the remotest parts of the rural areas in the counties and have not yet registered themselves simply because they are not aware of the registration deadlines either.

“The registration period deadline for the new trainees is now overdue and an extension is therefore necessary so that the new students can complete the registration exercise as required”. added the principals.
