The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened the portal for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) September 2025 intake.
KUCCPS announced that the application period will run from July 14 to July 31, 2025, targeting KCSE certificate holders from 2000 to 2024. Applicants can choose from a wide range of artisan, craft, and diploma programmes offered by accredited TVET colleges nationwide.
In a statement from KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Mercy Wahome, the placement service emphasized that the initiative aligns with the government’s goal of achieving 100% transition from basic education to tertiary-level training. “This effort is designed to equip youth with practical skills that foster self-reliance and economic participation,” the statement read.

To promote inclusivity, KUCCPS has waived all application fees for this cycle, removing financial barriers that often hinder access to post-secondary education. The agency urged all eligible candidates to apply through the Students’ Portal at students.kuccps.net, where detailed instructions and programme requirements are available.
Minimum entry grades are set at: Grade E for Artisan Certificate (Level 4) Grade D for Craft Certificate (Level 5) and Grade C– (minus) for Diploma (Level 6)
Applicants who need assistance can visit any public TVET institution or Huduma Centre, or contact KUCCPS via 0205137400, 0723954927, or info@kuccps.ac.ke.
The placement body encouraged those who missed previous application windows or delayed college enrollment after KCSE to seize this opportunity. The move is part of a broader strategy to expand access to technical education and address youth unemployment through skill-based training.
