The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the establishment of dedicated support centres across the Coast region to assist applicants with revising their course choices or applying for the first time.
From Thursday, May 22 to Tuesday, May 27, 2025, KUCCPS officers will be stationed at various locations to provide technical support and guidance to students during the revision period.
Nawwar Hammad Mazrui, the Head of KUCCPS for the Coast Region, highlighted that the support centres will serve a diverse group of students, including those who were unsuccessful in their earlier applications, and new candidates seeking placement in degree and TVET programmes.

The revision period targets Form Four leavers who applied between January and April 2025 but were unsuccessful. KCSE 2024 candidates with a C+ and above have not yet applied for degree programmes. Additionally, candidates with grades ranging from C– to E from KCSE 2000 to 2024 who wish to apply for TVET programmes, and KCSE candidates from 2000 to 2024 with a C+ and above who want to apply for degree courses at the Open University of Kenya are encouraged to participate.
Students and parents in the Coast region are encouraged to visit the centres for personalised assistance. The Technical University of Mombasa will support Mombasa. Kwale Msambweni Technical & Vocational College will serve as a support centre, while Kilifi Pwani University will provide guidance.
For Taita Taveta, students can visit Taita Taveta University, and in Tana River, Garsen Technical & Vocational College will offer assistance. In Lamu, support will be available at Lamu East Technical & Vocational College.
In addition to the physical centres, Mazrui has made available a WhatsApp number (0777343113) for direct communication, allowing students within the Coast region to access guidance quickly.
“Feel free to visit the support centres for any individual queries or concerns on application/placement,” he said.
