Ksh50M spent on school projects this year, MP says

Kitutu Masaba MP. Clive Ombane Gisairo.

Kitutu Masaba MP Clive Ombane has revealed that the NG-CDF office has spent a total of Ksh50 million to improve infrastructure of different schools in the constituency in Kisii County.

Addressing the public at Tombe Primary School as he handed over a classroom financed by the fund, he said his major desire was to give priority to educational development.

“My priority is education because I know it is the pillar of development,” he added.

The MP urged parents to be actively involved in the education of their children, saying they cannot abdicate their duty of providing food and other basic needs.

Ombane lauded the Ministry of Education (MoE) for including vernacular in the basic education curriculum because it inculcates cultural values in learners as they grow.

He appealed to vernacular experts to write books and other instructional materials based on technological advancements to make the world a better place.
