The Konoin Technical Training Institute (KOTTI) fraternity on Tuesday evening held a solemn candle lighting ceremony to honour the late Moses Kiprono Sabulei, the institution’s former Chief Principal, who passed away recently.
Sabulei is remembered as a visionary leader, mentor, and dedicated educator whose unwavering commitment and integrity greatly shaped the institution’s growth and the broader education community in Konoin and beyond.
During the emotional event, hundreds of students, staff, alumni, and friends of the institution gathered within the school compound to celebrate his remarkable life and enduring legacy.
The candles were lit in his memory as participants observed a moment of silence, offered prayers, and shared reflections on his outstanding contribution to technical and vocational training in Kenya.
“Sabulei’s leadership transformed KOTTI into a centre of technical excellence. He believed in empowering students with practical skills and inspired many to pursue education with purpose and passion,” said one of the lecturers during the ceremony.
The tutors lauded the late educator’s immense contribution, describing him as a man of vision and humility whose dedication to service will continue to inspire future generations.
