KNUT West Pokot Women Representative Fridah Arusho has praised teachers in the county for making significant strides in personal and community development.
“During the holiday season in November and early December, my colleagues in KNUT and I have attended housewarming ceremonies for more than fifteen teachers across the county. This reflects the strong commitment by teachers to provide decent shelter and comfort for their families,” said Fridah Arusho, the defending KNUT Women Representative in the upcoming KNUT General Elections.
She noted that many tutors are also venturing into farming, business enterprises and group investments during the holiday season, signalling growing economic empowerment among educators.
According to Arusho, teachers’ efforts can be seen across numerous villages through the small and large projects they have initiated to uplift their living standards.
