The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Bondo branch has expressed concern over increasing cases where parents storm schools to oust head teachers in the region and therefore demanded that the vice should stop.
KNUT Bondo branch Executive Secretary George Ajwang’ stated that their attention has been drawn to cases where parents storm schools and block gates to protest against head teachers, a trend that they want stopped.
He stated that is not the best way of addressing conflicts, saying that the parents and school management need to be embracing dialogue or channeling their grievances to the relevant authorities whenever there is a problem in their schools.

Ajwang’ who was addressing the media in his Bondo office, appealed to them to be giving dialogue a chance noting that Bondo currently has a deficit of head teachers and that it would not be proper to oust a head teacher over problems that can be solved.
The Executive Secretary states that KNUT is ready to help with arbitration whenever there is a problem, saying that such issues can also be channeled to them.
He was flanked by KNUT Bondo branch chairman Isaiah Okeyo who said that such acts would also scare other head teachers who may be posted after they shall have ejected the existing ones.
The KNUT Bondo branch Treasurer Mr Charles Ogola echoed similar sentiments, saying that such action does not only discourage the head teachers but even the entire teaching staff who will also work under fear.
