Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Makueni branch executive secretary Benson Ndambuki has lauded the appointment of James Muuo Ndiku as the deputy of aspiring Makueni county governor Patrick Musimba.
Ndiku is KNUT national treasurer and a teacher by profession.
Speaking on Ndiku’s appointment, Ndambuki said that teachers will support the candidature of Musimba since they believe in his leadership and what he stands for.
“Through his leadership, we are sure the education standards in the county will improve further,” he said.
Ndambuki added that teachers are very confident that they will be prioritized and education standards improved since Ndiku on virtue of being a teacher before, understands their tribulations.
They also believe that there will be enhanced bursaries, improved infrastructure in schools, higher salaries for ECDE teachers and enhanced sanitation in schools with focus on the girl child.
