The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has been urged to ensure the credibility of this year’s national examinations and that the entire examination process runs smoothly.
Bishop Meshack Mukwilu of Africa Brotherhood Church said that exam irregularities affect the country’s education system negatively and should be prevented by all means.
“I call upon KNEC to take all steps necessary to ensure smooth running and credibility of the 2024 national examinations by involving all the stakeholders including the candidates, parents, the public and media so to prevent cases of cheating during exams periods,” Dr. Mukwilu told Education News on phone.
The Bishop also asked the government to ban the operation of nightclubs across the country during the exam period.
He also wished candidates the best of luck saying that he is praying for God’s blessings upon them throughout the period.
Form 4 candidates begin KCSE today until November 22 while the Kenya Primary Schools Education Assessment (KPSEA) exam will be administered between October 28 and November 1.
