The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has instructed candidates who were referred to Primary Teacher Education (PTE) and Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) examinations; and would like to re-sit for their papers to register themselves for assessment.
According to KNEC, the examinations will be done in March and April 2023 for the last time as it intends to phase them out.
The registration process will be take place at the KNEC portal to ensure easy monitoring and delivering of the exams to the candidates.
PTE examinations follow a two year course taken by students who wish to be teachers at Primary School level after they complete the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.
On the other hand, ECDE examinations come after courses taken by students who wish to specialize in Early Childhood Education.
