The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has been asked to ensure this year’s exams run smoothly to avoid the debacle of 2022.
Philip Munyao, a doctor and opinion leader in Machakos, wants candidates to believe in themselves enough to face exams without having to seek help illegitimately.
“KNEC should ensure national tests are credible by enforcing tough rules meant to curb cheating. We also want the candidates to be content with their preparations,” Dr Munyao said.
His call comes at a time KNEC is on the spot for the rampant cheating in last year’s exams.
Munyao asked the government to ban discos and road shows during the examination period.
