Kiilu George Wambua, a learner at St. Veronica Giuliani Academy Junior Secondary School in Kithyoko, Masinga Sub-county, posted an outstanding performance in the inaugural Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA), exceeding expectations in all subjects except one, in which he attained the Meeting Expectations 1 (ME1) band.
Wambua scored the highest 8 points in Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies (EE1), while scoring 7 points in Kiswahili, Agriculture, Christian Religious Education, Creative Arts and Sports, and Pre-technical studies (EE2).
In English, he met expectations with 6 points, bringing his sterling performance to a close.

The performance places him at a vantage point to pursue the STEM pathway, having accumulated 60.103 points; the Arts and Sports Pathway, with 59.2194 points; and the Social Science Pathway, with 58.9452 points.
His father, Kiilu Nyanzwii, said the 14-year-old boy had been hardworking and was among the top pupils in his class throughout his junior school life.
He said the boy had applied to join Nairobi School, Alliance High and Makueni Boys, adding that he was ready to support him in whichever school he was enrolled on.
Wambua has dreams of becoming an Engineer.
