Early Childhood Education (ECDE) centres have lauded NG-CDF for their tireless support towards developing institutions and in fees payment.  Bungoma DICECE ECDE teachers training centre which has a current population of 230 students and 9 tutors is one of the NG-CDF programme beneficiaries that has enabled many students to learn without being distracted by the school management.

While addressing the press, Mrs. Jane Misigo DICECE ECDE teacher’s centre manager applauded the move by the Bumula, Kanduyi, Webuye West, Webuye East and Sirisia Members of Parliament to assist the centres.

‘’I sincerely thank members of Parliament in Bungoma for supporting students from this centre through bursary disbursement, we have mentored many,’’ she noted.

She said that despite being hit hard by Covid-19 her institution has put in place strategies to recover what they lost during the long pandemic holiday that saw many learning institutions shut.

She said that the school offers two programmes which include the pre-service programme which runs from January to December and the in-service programme which runs for two years. Mrs  Misigo says they were unable to train people during the April in -service programme due to lack of e-learning gadgets.

She appealed to the government and well-wishers to help the institute to get the first digital network that will help even in serving the ICT department and doing online research.

She urged parents to continue supporting the college through timely fees payment so that programmes can be run smoothly.

‘’Sometimes we find it hard to access some vital services due untimely fees payment,’’ she said.
