Kitale School emerged victorious in the prestigious NAKIHINYE national primary school games held in Nyeri, while Moi Nyeri Complex Primary School dominated in academics by topping the NAKIHINYE examination for both Grade Six and Grade Nine.
The competition brings together Kenya’s top national public primary schools; Nairobi School, Kitale School, Hill School Eldoret, and Moi Nyeri Complex Primary School.
The Head teacher of Moi Nyeri Complex School, Vincent Mwangi, applauded the hard work and discipline of his pupils who topped the academic rankings. They were followed closely by Hill School Eldoret, Kitale School, and Nairobi School.
On the sports field, Kitale School, under the leadership of Head teacher David Luganda, dominated the overall competition by scoring 100.5 points.

Hill School Eldoret came second with 88 points, while Moi Nyeri Complex and Nairobi School placed third and fourth with 70 and 53.5 points respectively.
In the Sataraji competition, Kitale School again topped with 74.5 points, followed by Hill School Eldoret (58), Moi Nyeri Complex (54), and Nairobi School (35.5) across all six streams.
In girls’ football, Kitale School thrashed Hill School 3-0, while in boys’ football, Nairobi School edged out Hill School 1-0 in the final to lift the trophy.
In the Junior Secondary School (JSS) boys’ football final, Kitale School defeated Hill School 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.
The match was played at Moi Nyeri Complex School grounds. In the JSS girls’ football final, Hill School beat Kitale School 3-0.

In volleyball, Hill School boys beat Kitale School 2-0 in straight sets, while Kitale School girls overcame Nairobi School 2-1 to win the title.
Kitale School were crowned netball queens after a resounding 23-2 victory over Hill School. However, in girls’ basketball, Hill School triumphed over Kitale School with a score of 13-6.
In girls’ handball, Moi Nyeri Complex School defeated Hill School 3-1, while in the boys’ category, Nairobi School narrowly beat Hill School 12-11.
