More than 200 Chemistry and Kiswahili teachers from all 54 secondary schools in Lugari Constituency participated in yesterday’s day-long workshop, which aimed to enhance student performance and strengthen professional standards among educators.

The workshop, led by national chief examiners, provided teachers with practical training on effective teaching methodologies, exam preparation strategies, and curriculum delivery.

It served as a platform for capacity building, peer learning, and motivation before the upcoming national examinations.

Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera, who addressed the educators during the session, commended their dedication and urged them to remain committed to the academic success of their students.

“The enthusiasm and youthful spirit present deeply inspired me. Lugari is fortunate to have a vibrant and talented pool of young educators,” said Nabwera.

The MP urged teachers to go the extra mile to prepare our learners for academic excellence and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

“There is immense grace in guiding young people toward success. Supporting and mentoring other people’s children bears fruit in one’s lineage. It is a meaningful and rewarding investment,” he added.

The MP reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the education sector in Lugari and emphasised the importance of empowering teachers as key drivers of community development and national progress.

The training is expected to have a lasting impact on classroom instruction and student outcomes across the constituency.
