Kisii varsity VC presides over induction process of fresh students

Kisii University VC. Prof Nathan Ogechi.

Kisii University will modernize its facilities to meet the academic expectations and demands of the ever-increasing student population, Vice Chancellor Prof. Nathan Ogechi has said.

He was speaking during the induction session for this year’s first-year students, where he encouraged them to adapt quickly to the new environment and train their focus on achieving their academic goals.

“We have more than 15 lecture halls that will accommodate you as you navigate to attain professional papers that will place you where you want to be,” he said.

The VC urged them to devote much of their time to research to solve emerging issues such as food security and climate change among communities.

He also asked them to foster unity, love and harmony among themselves and learn to coexist with their colleagues who hail from diverse backgrounds.

Deputy VC in charge of Academic Affairs Prof. Fredrick Wanyama encouraged the freshers to work hard in their education pursuit and challenged them to live a visionary life.

“Now you are global scholars who will be required to tune your minds positively through the knowledge you will acquire here,” he said.
