Students at Kisii University who have not cleared their household fee component risk being locked out of their end-of-semester examinations, as the institution moves to enforce strict fee and conduct rules ahead of papers set to begin on April 13.
The Office of the Registrar, Academic Affairs, outlined in a notice to all students that only duly registered students who have cleared their fees will be eligible to sit the examinations.
Government-sponsored students in years one to three are specifically required to clear the household component fee only.

Students who attempt to enter examination rooms without meeting the fee clearance requirement risk disciplinary action as stipulated in section 9.2.10 of the student handbook, with the university classifying such conduct as trespassing in the examination room.
All candidates will be required to display their examination cards and student identification cards in the examination room. No candidate will be allowed into an examination room 30 minutes after the start of an examination, and no candidate will be permitted to leave before the end of the examination without the authority of the Chief Invigilator.
