Kisii University students hailing from Kitutu Masaba have thanked the constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Clive Ombane for the prompt disbursement of NG-CDF bursary funds worth Ksh 30 million.

The 50 students also hailed the Funds’ Committee members for demonstrating unmatched concern and priority to education development.

While confirming receipt of Ksh 6,000 each, they appealed to the NGCDF office to consider increasing the funds to enable them offset their overdue fee balances.

“We know the MP is struggling to facilitate our education but we ask his office to increase the funds,” said Peter Ariga.

In another forum, Mr. Ombane said that his office will not provide bursary funds to students who do not have a voters’ card from the constituency in a bid to curb double disbursement of bursary funds.

“Any student who resides outside the constituency should apply for bursary at their home constituencies,” he said.
