Kisii residents celebrate appointment of Motari as PS

Residents of Masige East Ward in Kisii County filled the roads and streets to celebrate the appointment of Stephen Motari as the new Principal Secretary for the Ministry of ICT, Broadcasting, and Telecommunications.

The residents, led by former Bobasi MP Stephen Manoti, said that President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government’s appointment of the CS was a good move.

“We thank President Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for their cooperation because it aims at equitable distribution of resources and balance of power in the country,” he said.

The MP appealed to the community to put their political differences aside and forge a way forward for development.

The MP asked the youth to take advantage of the opportunities provided by Information Technology and join ICT colleges to add value to their lives.

“These days, you can accomplish your studies of any course of your choice online instead of waiting to be used like doormats by bad politicians who tell you to cause chaos,” he said.

In his Facebook message, Masige East MCA Michael Motume thanked the Kenya Kwanza government for appointing Motari as Principal Secretary.

“Eserekari ya Ruto netocharetie gochora oyomo oito nonya tinyiancheti (Ruto’s government has thought of Gusii region by appointing one of our own, although I don’t like it), “ he said

Elders who spoke at the meeting wished the new PS good luck and asked him to deliver exemplary service to the nation.
