Kisii’s Etago Deputy County Commissioner Rose Muthee has warned parents against threatening teachers of ejection from their stations over poor examination results.
The administrator who was addressing parents, teachers and students of Nyamondo Secondary school said that success in education calls for collective responsibility from all stakeholders, and no should put all blames on a single party.
Muthee was reacting to some posts in the social media that were allegedly posted by some parents threatening to invade the school and eject two teachers who reportedly were underperforming in their duties.
“We have not come here to talk about the rumours on the social media but to address the poor performance of examinations in Nyamondo Secondary School.” She said.
In the meeting, the Commissioner listened to the grievances of parents about what triggered the poor 2025 KCSE examinations results. The parents lamented shortage of teachers, few science laboratory, laxity of teachers and low student enrolment.
She asked parents to calm down and give the Board of School Management Committee time to consult and get the best way forward for the school instead of dwelling on finger pointing to one another.

She further asked the area Chief John Kenyanya to mark and arrest any parent who will try to cause chaos in the school and arraign them in the court of law over disturbing peace in the community.
The enmity between parents and teachers of Nyamondo Secondary School over poor results comes barely two weeks after the parents of Raganga Secondary School in Kisii Central Subcounty invaded the school, ejected the principal from the office, and locked it over the school’s poor results.
It took the intervention of the police who rescued the principal from being beaten by the irate parents who were in for his blood.
Elsewhere, Education News has discovered that parents are up in arms against the principals of Magena boys’ Eberege and Kerongorori Mixed Secondary School in Kenyenya Subcounty over alleged poor examination results.
Parents who spoke to Education News on condition anonymity due to their safety reasons accused the Principal of Kerongorori over arrogance on his teachers, the issue that has demoralized them to perform.
They appealed to TSC to transfer the principals of these schools to pave way for positive change saying that they have stayed in the stations for long.
