Former high school principal from Kisii County have urged the community to embrace to enhance holistic growth and development of the child.
Zachary Omagwa addressing the residents during a recent gathering said that art enhances cognitive creativity in learner, and also enable them realize their potential in education.
The educator was speaking to Kiong’anyo Cultural Organization and other education stakeholders during their get- together meeting at Humphreys Hill House on Sunday.
The discussion centred on the use of traditional soapstone sculpting and wood carving to support education development in the region.

“These are very important economic activities that have been held here and inherited by many generations and this calls for the infusion of modern technology for their advancement to shape our children into career people along the lines of these arts.” He said.
He lauded the ingoing Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), saying that it offers a wider choice of pathways that enable the learner to choose their best areas of understanding and urged parents to encourage their children to embrace it
