Kisii first lady urges parents to care for their children before handing to teachers

The Kisii County First lady Mei Simba Arati has urged parents to care for their children before handing over to teachers, saying that parents especially mothers are the first teachers of their children.

She underscored the importance of mothers taking bold steps in seeking to understand the immediate needs like food, clothes and parental love, so that children can have happy life.

Mei spoke on Governor Simba Arati’s behalf at Nyambunwa village in Bomachoge Borabu Constituency where she joined the public yesterday to mourn three people including a grade three school girl from one family who perished in road accident.

She reiterated the Kisii County Government’s determination to accomplish the programme of distributing free milk to Early Childhood Development Education(ECDE) learners equitably in all of the 45 Wards, asking the public to support it.

Kenya’s Education Attache to China Albert Ombiro who is the immediate former Chief Principal of Cardinal Otunga asked the community to support their children to acquire education for quality life.

He asked school leavers who never attained grades to enable them to go to University to join local Technical Vocational Education Training Institutes to acquire professional practical skills that can help them to get employment for their growth.
