Kisii County school principals elect officials

The Kisii County Deputy Director of Education Elizabeth Njeri has said that the commission aims at promoting national cohesion for the purpose of enhancing professionalism and competence in the progress of education.
She asks principals of secondary schools to be in the forefront of preaching peace and harmony in their schools by exhibiting exemplary and admirable practices.
The director was speaking to all principals from Kisii County during their routine association’s meeting for the election of the officials at Kisii County Cultural Hall.
During the meeting Jailus Onchoke of Kiobegi Secondary School retained his seat of chairman after beating his only opponent Mr. Dauglas Okemwa by garnering 178votes as the latter had 143 votes.
Joyce Orioki of Nyabururu Girls’ national school was elected deputy chair.
She garnered 177 votes to trounce her challenger Lwrence Nyakweba of Nduru Boys’ school who received 119 from the total 316 cast votes.
Pamella Moranga was voted in as the secretary of the association while Samuel Atemba was elected her assistant.
Ponti Otwere and Peter Nyamoko were elected treasurer and assistant treasurer respectively while the former boss of Kenyenya sub county KESSHA Elijah Maobe was unopposed as the organizing secretary.
He will be deputised by Mr. Steven Omari.
Onchoke promised to continue serving the association without partiality.
