All roads will lead today to Kisumu National Polytechnic in Kisumu County where Kisii School and Upper Hill School will battle for the 2026 Brookside Dairy KSSSA national Term One games rugby Boys 15’s crown in what promises to be a gripping showdown.

For Kisii School, this is more than just a final,it is a shot at redemption.

The reigning FEASSA champions narrowly missed out on last year’s national title after losing 14-6 to Vihiga boys high school.

That defeat still lingers and today presents the perfect opportunity to rewrite the script and secure their maiden national trophy.

Kisii’s journey to the final has been defined by structure and defensive steel.

They edged Kakamega School 16-14, overcame Mang’u High 17-6, squeezed past Menengai High 6-3, and subdued St. Mary’s Yala 13-3 in the semi-finals.

With just 26 points conceded in four matches, Kisii have built their campaign on discipline, tactical awareness and game management.

Upper Hill, however, bring a contrasting approach.

The 2018 national champions have been ruthless in attack, racking up 88 points en route to the final.

They whitewashed Kwale High 26-0, beat St. Mary’s Yala 17-10, saw off All Saints 33-19 and edged Kakamega school 12-11 in a tense semi-final.

Their fluid backline and quick transitions have made them one of the most entertaining sides of the tournament.

Unlike Kisii’s measured tempo, Upper Hill prefer expansive rugby and high-intensity play.

With traditional giants like Kakamega High School and other past champions watching from the sidelines, this final represents a generational shift in school rugby power.

Will Kisii’s defensive resolve deliver long-awaited glory, or will Upper Hill’s attacking firepower reclaim the national throne?
