KISE to host African summit on early childhood Care education next week

The African Summit on Inclusive Early Childhood Care Education (IECCE) is set to be held this July at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) in Nairobi Kenya.

The summit which will be convened by The African Disability Collaboration (ADC), a collective of organizations working with children with disabilities in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Malawi is scheduled for 20th and 21st of this Month.

The vision of the ADC is an Inclusive Africa for Children with Disabilities and aims to highlight service provision models and innovations advancing IECCE on the continent.

The 2023 summit theme is ‘Nurturing Care and Opportunities for Early Learning for Children with Disabilities’.

Delegates will participate in learning visits to selected organizations in Nairobi, followed by a one-day interactive workshop session comprising breakout discussions, curated panels, and plenary workshops.

Solutions and innovations in Inclusive Early Childhood Care Education and Lifelong Learning, Nutrition and Children with Disabilities, Positive Parenting for Children with Disabilities, Holistic Health Services for Children with Disabilities, Creating Safe Environments for Children to Thrive and Strengthening Institutions will be showcased.

The Summit costs Ksh6, 000 / 50 USD per person for 1 day or Ksh12, 000 / 100 USD for 2 days.

The deadline for registration is July 14, 2023.
