Kirinyaga businessman offers full sponsorship to Form 1 students

Businessman Peterson Njomo has offered full sponsorship to several students who had not managed to join Form 1 due to lack of school fees.

Njomo said that the sponsorship will cater to their four years of secondary education.

He added that his mission is to ensure that less privileged students get basic education and reduce illiteracy levels.

“I have come to assist the needy but bright students get an education. This is the only way to reduce illiteracy levels,” he said.

Njomo stated that bursaries are a boost to parents and guardians but seldom are they able to clear their arrears.

“I know parents have applied for bursaries that boost them a bit, but the fee arrears keep accruing leading to the child being sent away from school,” he said.
