The much-anticipated Kilifi Teachers Football League finals, initially slated for tomorrow at Malindi High School, have been pushed to tomorrow, Saturday, April 11, 2026.
KUPPET Kilifi chairman and tournament coordinator Morris Chiguba Nyale said the adjustment was necessitated by an official engagement in Voi involving the chief guest and sponsor, former Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa.

Nyale said Jumwa regrets any inconvenience caused by the change and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders.
He added that she remains fully committed to ensuring the tournament’s successful hosting and has warmly invited the public to attend the finals in large numbers on Saturday.

Aisha JumwaThe chairman revealed that about 5,000 teachers are expected to attend the event, with only teachers holding valid TSC numbers allowed to participate in the tournament.
Nine teams representing the nine sub-counties of Kilifi County will battle for top honours.
In addition, some community teams will take part in the event to help mobilise local support for the home team ahead of the Kenya National Teachers football tournament, scheduled for April 13–14 at the same venue.
Nyale noted that this year’s competition is also being used as a rehearsal for the national teachers’ football tournament, marking the first time Kilifi is hosting the national event.
