With secondary schools registering a performance index of 2.9 in KCSE and primary schools posting a mean score of 240 marks out of a possible 500 marks in KCPE, Kilifi County leaders have come up with a policy to salvage poor education standards in the county.
Kilifi North MP Owen Baya, said the county leadership has come up with a policy dubbed ‘No Child Is Left Behind,’ to combat the poor enrolment in schools and try to get more financial aid to help pupils.
‘’Since the CDF and county government resources isn’t enough we are duty bound to look for and mobilize more resources to assist pupils,” he said. He appealed for donor funding to improve education in Kilifi.
