Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro to preside over Shinyalu Education Day on Friday

All is set for the Shinyalu Education Day to be presided over by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro on Friday, May 31.

Shinyalu MP Fred Ikana said that the mega-event will be held at St Agnes Shibuye Girls High School.

He said Nyoro would be the chief guest at the ceremony that seeks to celebrate improved performance in national examinations by schools in the Constituency.

“We shall also be coming up with strategies meant to foster academic performance while also celebrating our milestones in the past year,” he added.

Ikana said he had settled for Nyoro due to his rich development track record in Kiharu, including in education.

He said construction of storey learning blocks in over ten primary schools, besides massive renovations in many other learning institutions were firmly on course.

Modern classrooms done at St Albert’s Shanjero Primary School will be launched on the same day prior to the education day event.

He said over 10,000 students had benefitted from education bursaries courtesy of the Shinyalu NG-CDF which is the highest in the constituency.

“Our main objective is to ensure that we empower our younger generation through education so that they can eventually help break cycles of poverty in their respective families and communities,” he added.

The MP announced that St Monica Lubao would be the second school to benefit from a bus fully purchased by the Shinyalu NG-CDF. The first beneficiary was Lugala Secondary.
