Browns Infusion Limited has set aside Sh300 million for bursaries to support needy students in Kericho and Bomet counties, in a move aimed at boosting access to education.
Managing Director Sammy Kirui said the bursary programme is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, noting that education remains the most sustainable way of fostering long-term community development.
“This bursary programme is a clear indication of our dedication to supporting education in Kericho and Bomet,” said Mr. Kirui. “Empowering young people through education is key to uplifting communities.”
He assured applicants that the vetting and disbursement process would be transparent and based on merit and genuine need. “We will carry out the process in an open and accountable manner,” he said, urging beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity.

Education stakeholders in the two counties welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. “This is a commendable gesture,” said Jane Langat, an education officer in Kericho. “We encourage other private companies to follow Browns Infusion’s example and invest in the future of our children.”
The bursary programme adds to Browns’ broader vision of promoting social transformation through education. Recently, the company’s parent firm, Browns Investment Company, awarded full scholarships to youths joining Technical and Vocational Training Institutes (TVETs) across the country.
