The Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, via Mwalimu Majuu Programme, has opened applications for qualified Kenyan teachers to work in the Caribbean.
Mwalimu Majuu Programme, is managed by the Diaspora Placement Agency and aims to give Kenyan educators a chance to expand their professional experience abroad while showcasing Kenya’s global contribution to education.
According to the ministry, the available teaching positions cover a wide range of technical and academic areas which includes; agriculture, air conditioning and refrigeration, auto mechanics, automotive technology, carpentry and construction, electrical installation, mathematics, physics and chemistry, plumbing, Spanish, special education, technical drawing, technology and welding.
It further clarified that all applicants must be Kenyan citizens and must possess a degree, diploma, or postgraduate diploma in education. They must also be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

In addition to meeting the academic and professional requirements, applicants are required to submit updated CV, a copy of their national ID or passport bio-data page and the completed Public Service Commission Form 7A.
The applicants are directed to submit their application forms online, through the link provided on the official websites www.diaspora.go.ke and www.dpa.go.ke before July 18.
The Ministry has emphasized that no recruitment fees are required at any stage of the application process. It has also warned the public against falling victim to fraudsters claiming to represent the programme or demanding payment for job placement.
“Only the Diaspora Placement Agency is authorized to handle recruitment under this initiative. Any suspicious activity or request for money should be reported immediately to the relevant authorities,” Ministry said.

The Mwalimu Majuu Programme is part of a broader government policy to export Kenyan skills to the global job market.
President William Ruto recently stated that over 400,000 Kenyans have already secured international employment under the larger Kazi Majuu strategy.
Interested teachers are encouraged to act quickly as only a few days remain before the deadline. The Ministry has advised applicants to read all instructions carefully, fill out every section of the application form completely and attach all required documents.
