Kenya has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ismaili Imamat to strengthen collaboration in education, marking a significant step toward inclusive learning and institutional development.
The agreement was signed at State House Nairobi earlier today during the official visit of His Highness Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan V, hosted by President William Ruto.
The MoU outlines joint efforts to improve access to quality education, support school infrastructure, and promote curriculum innovation across Kenya.
President Ruto hailed the partnership as a milestone in Kenya’s development journey, noting that education remains central to the country’s transformation agenda. He commended the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) for its longstanding contributions, including support for nearly 1,000 schools and teacher development programmes nationwide.
