KCSE 2024: St Anne’s Girls Kiminini, St Francis Kolongolo Girls in TransNzoia shine

CS for Education Julius Ogamba, PS for Basic Education Dr Belio Kipsang' and her counterpart for Higher Education Beatrice Inyangala during the release of 2024 KCSE results on January 9, 2025.

St Anne’s Girls High School Kiminini has proven its academic excellence with an outstanding performance in the 2024 KCSE examinations.

The school posted a remarkable mean score of 9.333, with all 30 candidates securing university admission. Among the high achievers, two students attained A- grades, twelve earned B+, six scored B-, and ten achieved plain B, showcasing a well-rounded and consistent performance across the board.

The Chief Principal, Janet Mabango, commended the students, teachers, and parents for their dedication and teamwork, which she described as the driving force behind the success. “Our strategy was simple but effective: strategic planning, tireless hard work, and fostering collaboration among all stakeholders. This is the result of a united effort and unwavering commitment,” she said.

Impressive performance

At St Francis Kolongolo Girls in Kwanza Sub-county, they delivered an impressive performance in the 2024 KCSE examinations. Out of the 170 candidates, 104 achieved the minimum university entry grade of C+.

According to the school Principal, Hellen Wanyonyi, the results were as follows: 2 students scored B+, 34 scored B plain, 36 B-, 32 C+, 31 C plain, 20 C-, 12 D+, and 3 D plain. The top student, school captain Naomi Nekesa, attributed her success to determination, discipline, and the unwavering support of her teachers. “I am grateful to God, and I am hopeful that my dream of pursuing a course in medicine at the university will come true,” said Naomi at the school.

Her father, John Wanyonyi, expressed his gratitude to the area Member of Parliament, Ferdinand Wanyonyi, for improving the school’s infrastructure through NGCDF allocations. “If it was not for the support through bursaries, my daughter would not have completed her education due to my financial challenges,” said  Wanyonyi.
