KCSE candidate sit exams in hospital after fatal fall

One of the form four candidates from Nyamira County was forced to sit for his examinations from hospital bed.

According to Nyamira County Director of Education Margaret Mwirigi, the boy fell down immediately he entered class room for the first paper.

He was rushed to Nyansiongo hospital where first aid was administered.

The Center Supervisor hurriedly took the remaining part of the examination to the hospital for him to complete.

The invigilator was under tightly security escort as he delivered the paper to the private wing of the hospital.

Nyansiongo Medical Clinical Officer who identified himself as Amos Nyambane assured the public that the boy will get well.

“There is no cause for alarm as he is responding well to medication”, he said.

Nyamira County commissioner Amos Mariba was among the first people to visit the hospital after hearing about the incident.

Flanked by Nyamira County Police Commander Patrick Ngeiywa, the Commissioner said that security had been beefed up in the county especially at this time of the examinations.

He appealed to the public to keep off from examination centres to allow conducive environment for the candidates.
