The results of the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) are scheduled for release this Thursday, November 24, 2023 from Mtihani House in Nairobi.

Education PS Belio Kipsang had earlier announced that marking had commenced, setting a tentative date of release on November 30, 2023.

“We anticipate an early release of results to streamline the Form One student placement process before Christmas, affording parents the necessary preparation time,” he had remarked.

It was during a visit to Naivasha Girls Secondary School, where he commended head teachers for their great efforts in managing the national exams.

Addressing concerns about KCSE exam malpractices, he revealed that only seven centre managers had been suspended this year.

Dr Kipsang’ credited the successful reduction in exam irregularities to the decision to collect exam papers twice daily and the collaborative support of the ministries of Interior and ICT.

“This year witnessed approximately 360,000 candidates undertaking the KCPE examination, marking close to four decades since its inception in 1985 under the 8-4-4 system,” he stated.

As the education landscape evolves, the focus now shifts to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), signalling a paradigm shift in the assessment of learners through the new education framework.
