Learning has been interrupted at Kapsowar Girls High School after students staged a peaceful demonstration protesting alleged mismanagement at the institution.
The students, demanded the transfer of school principal whom they accused of poor management.
The girls, who also raised concerns over declining academic standards, marched out of the school and trekked several kilometers to the County Education in Iten offices.
The protest was peaceful, with no destruction of property reported.

The students expressed frustration, claiming that administrative challenges at the school have negatively impacted their performance.
Education officials who received the students urged them to return to school, assuring them that their grievances would be addressed through the proper channels.
“We have listened to their concerns and we promise to investigate the matter thoroughly,” said one of the education officers.
The incident comes amid increased calls for accountability and better management in schools across the country.
