Friends Manyonje Senior School in Malava Constituency, Kakamega County has received a significant boost to its digital learning programme after Shamberere National Polytechnic donated essential computer accessories to the institution.
The donation was officially handed over by the polytechnic’s Chief Principal, Dr. Elisha Nyamu, during a ceremony attended by teachers and students.
The move is expected to enhance the school’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) capacity and strengthen digital literacy among learners. Education stakeholders said the intervention will improve access to modern learning tools and create a more conducive environment for technology-based instruction.
Speaking during the event, Friends Manyonje Senior School principal lauded the partnership, noting that the equipment will greatly support the ICT department and expand opportunities for students to engage in practical computer studies. The principal described the donation as timely and transformative.
Beyond the equipment support, the collaboration is set to establish a clear academic progression pathway for Manyonje students seeking to pursue professional and technical courses at Shamberere National Polytechnic after completing secondary education.
