The constructions ECDE classrooms across Kakamega County is expected to cost Ksh300 million, to be completed within this financial year.
Governor Fernandes Barasa said his office is keenly monitoring the construction progress of the 60 centres being built across the county.
Kakemega has 60 Wards and therefore each Ward will have one, a staff room, a water tank and Asian toilets for teachers and learners.
Speaking during an impromptu tour to inspect the project at Bumia Primary School in Mumias West Sub-county, Governor Barasa reiterated that his government is dedicated to creating a conducive learning environment for children.
