Kajiado’s Enoomatasiani School gets new ICT Lab to boost tech skills

A newly built ICT laboratory was officially commissioned today at Enoomatasiani Mixed Day Secondary School in Olkeri Ward, bringing a major boost to digital learning in Kajiado North constituency.

The facility launched by area MP Onesmus Ngogoyo, is part of commitment to improving education and empowering learners through access to technology.

The fully equipped ICT lab is expected to support digital literacy, enhance coding skills and enable students to interact with modern learning tools.

Speaking during the event, Ngogoyo emphasized that the project is aimed at bridging the digital divide in schools within the constituency, especially in areas that have historically lagged behind in access to technological infrastructure.

He added that he remains focused on rolling out similar education development projects to ensure all students are equipped for the future.

Also present during the commissioning was Chief Stephen Moshi of Lower Matasia, alongside other local leaders. They joined the school administration, teachers, students, and members of the community in celebrating the launch of the lab.

The new ICT lab comes at a time when digital literacy is becoming a key requirement in both academic learning and the job market. By introducing such facilities in public schools, the constituency hopes to raise the quality of education and expose students to 21st-century skills.

The MP has continued to prioritize educational infrastructure, focusing on ensuring that every child in Kajiado North gets a fair chance through access to quality learning resources. The ICT lab at Enoomatasiani is among the growing list of school projects being implemented under his leadership.

This development is expected to enhance learning outcomes at the school by supporting computer studies and research. The facility will also help students and teachers explore innovation, access information more easily, and improve academic performance.

Ngogoyo said he is committed to expanding digital access to other schools in the constituency as part of a broader plan to transform education in Kajiado North. Plans are already underway to roll out similar projects in other wards.

The launch was warmly received by students and teachers, who expressed optimism that the new facility will make a lasting difference in their academic journey.
