Kajiado students to receive varsity scholarships from Tata Chemicals

UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Tata Chemicals Magadi Company has invited applications for scholarships from needy local community University students from Kajiado County.

Priority will be given to students undertaking courses in Mining, Geology, Chemistry, Agriculture and Livestock, Medicine, Engineering, Environmental Studies and Climate Change, and Education.

According to a memo released to all Kajiado County residents on August 4, applicants should write an application letter and include their current contacts and locality.

Applicants must also have attained the minimum grade C+ (plus) in KCSE and sat for KCSE in the last two sittings; 2021 and 2022 cohorts.

One must have joined or planning to join a reputable institution of higher learning and should not have other current significant educational sponsorship.

“A copy of KCSE results, admission letter, National Identity Card or Birth Certificate or a waiting card should also be attached,” read part of the memo.

A slot is reserved for people living with disabilities (PWD) and girls are highly encouraged to apply.

“The selection of beneficiaries will be competitive, based on academic merit and on the socio-economic situation of the applicant.

Only short-listed applicants will be contacted for interviews,” stated the memo.

All applications must be sent to the email address: Vacancies_TCM@tatachemicals.com not later than September 3, 2023.

Notably, incomplete applications and those that do not meet the requirements stated will not be considered.
