Kaiti Member of Parliament (MP) Joshua Kimilu has reaffirmed his efforts to enhance the education standards in the Constituency, and making sure every home have educated children.
Speaking at Kaiti constituency office during secondary school bursary form issuance, the MP said that education is the only equalizer between the poor and the rich in the society and every child is eligible to attain the highest level.
“My grace in Kaiti constituency has not expired and I am working hard to leave a legacy in education. Every family must have educated children. I already have some in high school and beyond whom I have personally sponsored. Very needy but bright students,” he said.
The lawmaker added that he will make sure they attain the highest level of education so that they can support their families and have a good life in the future,” Kimilu noted.

The MP further revealed that this year, he has sponsored about 7 very needy students who were unable to join Grade 10 due to lack of school fees.
“They are now called Kimilu’s children. I am moving them from day school to boarding secondary school for full concentration, exposure and good perfomance,” he said.
He encouraged members of public to help the needy where possible.
“Let us be humane enough, direct them to me and I will be there for them. If you are able you can also help according to your ability,” He added.
The legislator also reminded parents to take care of their children during the ongoing rainy season, by avoiding mass waters and flooded rivers.
