Kaiti MP decries poor state of roads heading to schools

Kaiti constituency Member of Parliament Joshua Kimilu has expressed disappointment in the poor state of various roads leading to learning institutions in his area.

While speaking at Mukuyuni DCC during the issuance Ksh 45,000 bursary to 13 000 secondary school students in Ukia and Kee wards of Kaiti, Kimilu noted that there are so many poor roads and some of them head to schools in the area which need grading and completion like the famous Ukia-Emali road.

The  MP lamented that the state has remain the same due to leaders who ride on handouts and tokenism leadership, forgetting to sort the real problem.

“Our people do not need handouts as at now. Yes, they will be given but it won’t last a day or sort their problems, we need permanent solution to our problems,”Kimilu said.

He also noted that capitation should be prioritized at all the time adding that it has become leader’s daily song. He noted that many school heads are suffering for running schools with less or no capitation.

He reaffirmed his commitment to education, bursaries, and school infrastructure to the people of Kaiti adding that

Education is the foundation of a better future, and no child should miss school due to lack of fees.
